Charming Cape Cod Weddings: How to Plan Your Perfect Coastal Celebration

Charming Cape Cod Weddings: How to Plan Your Perfect Coastal Celebration

Just a short ish drive from NYC is one of my most favorite places on earth, The cape. Roughly six hours, which lets face it could be the same amount of time driving to the Hamptons. Growing up in Plymouth, Mass I frequented the cape often visiting extended family and beach trips. As an adult I was engaged there, married there and now have the opportunity to work there. Every summer especially I'm reminded of how magical it really is. I know it sounds corny but it's the only way I know how to describe my home away from home.

So your’e planning your wedding or next celebration? Here are some suggestions that may work for you. As always it’s recommended to onboard your planner or consultant to start since they will guide you with what will work best with your budget, desired guest count and vision.

Chequessett Yacht & Country Club Chequessett Yacht & Country Club exudes a charming, rustic vibe. You can host your reception in the clubhouse, which features a wall of windows with panoramic bay views, or opt for the boathouse, perched directly on the beach.

Its recent renovation has preserved the grandeur of the original lobby, featuring exquisite woodwork and a sparkling floor perfect for dancing the night away. Don’t miss out on the charming vintage bank vault, which makes for unique and playful photo opportunities. This venue can comfortably accommodate dinner and dancing for up to 125 guests.

Kalmar Village – North Truro: Kalmar Village exudes classic Cape Cod charm, reminiscent of Patti Page’s “Old Cape Cod.” This timeless venue features rows of quaint vintage cottages surrounding an expansive green lawn. The private beach offers breathtaking views of the Provincetown skyline, adding a touch of magic to your event. With a tented option, Kalmar Village is perfect for larger gatherings, accommodating dinner and dancing for up to 250 guests.

You’re making your wedding or event a weekend experience. What better way to welcome in guests than with welcome drinks and dinner? Here are some suggestions for just that.

Truro Winery holds a special place in my heart, as it was the venue for my own rehearsal dinner. Guests enjoyed tasting wines from the vineyard and received a mini tour to see the winemaking process up close. We celebrated in a charming covered outdoor space, where guests loved capturing memories against the backdrop of the grapevines. Truro’s exquisite seaside light and the pristine vineyard grounds create a breathtaking setting. The natural beauty of Truro Vineyards has made it the backdrop for some of Cape Cod’s most stunning weddings. Create your own unforgettable moments here, surrounded by lush vines and the Outer Cape’s iconic golden light.
